I came across sghindi while I was searching for an interactive website to make my students learn the Hindi language. I am working with a nonprofit organization in the USA to teach Hindi to Indian-origin kids. We follow a standard syllabus with books on each level. But it is not like the way the regular schools work, where they use interactive media to learn Math and English. Sghindi fulfilled that need. This website provides students an opportunity to learn in the same interactive way as their Math and English learning and provides quizzes to self-evaluate their progress. I was surprised to know that there is this website well organized with Hindi language classification and the need of the kids living outside of India. I want to mention some of the feature provided by sghindi that are really helpful with my students, like “Genders” which tells how living and non-living things are divided between two genders, “word separation” that help in the understanding of commonly used Hindi words, spelling correction that tells you the way to use adjectives to make a proper and correct sentence. I will recommend sghindi to those who want to learn the Hindi language with new standards of learning.
